In attempts to aid his rough look, Marrok gently knelt by the falls, getting his light brown snout close enough to feel the light spray of the water sprinkle across his darkening face. Marrok slowly rises from his resting spot to stretch, arching his back and exposing his black covered back to the warm sunlight. He paced back and forth, deciding what to do. He slowly dipped his muzzle to the water, his waiting tongue ready to lap up the sparkling water. After having his fill of drink, he rose with a jerk sensing an odd presence was among him but, decided to ignore this feeling. He was gazing around as the sun was slowly dropping behind the tree line, when he was suddenly overcome with fatigue.

The sun dipped down below the horizon displaying a brilliant sunset. The evening air was cool, crisp for the young autumn night , but this was expected. A light breeze blew, sending an legion of dry, vivid-hued leaves sailing through the air to the moist ground below. The surrounding forest began to come alive with the sounds of the night as the creatures began to wake. Several bats flitted through the sky, twisting and turning as they caught their first prey of the night. In addition to the bats, a wolven form appeared in the fleeting light, silhouetted against the burning sky. The wolf’s stature was feminine. Slim. Elegant. Although it was difficult to distinguish the pelt color of the wolf, it was possible. In the dim light, light gray fur was accented with a red tail. Her fur was glossy, even in the fading light. Her body was lean, though well fed. The wolf’s muscles were toned, built not only for speed, but for combat as well. A deadly combination, if one knew how to use it to their advantage.

The she-wolf walked through the forest, muzzle planted to the ground. She had been tracking, obviously. A new wolf. She did not mind newcomers, however she did not want them trespassing. As the strange scent became increasingly prominent, she picked up the pace. The sound of the crashing water was heard before the she-wolf actually caught sight of the waterfall. She came up beside the river above the falls and gazed down. The wolf below, an atractive, muscular he-wolf, stood at the edge of the water, peering into the trees. He seemed familiar, but she could not quite figure out if she knew the identity of the wolf below. She stood there, contemplating the possibility, for a few moments, then shook her head. How could she know this wolf? She watched as the wolf leapt to his feet, as if he had been startled. She smiled. He sensed her presence, but he couldn’t quite pick her out.

She shook her head as she turned to make her way down the waterfall. The she-wolf was careful to watch her step on the slippery stone that framed the falls, but she managed to gracefully leap down onto the ground below. She regained composure before speaking. Her tail erect and ears pricked foreword, concentrating solely on the he-wolf before her. She smiled slightly at him, then spoke. “I am Rasia.” She paused. She had only just arrived in the territory a few moons ago, and she had never really come in contact with another wolf before. “These lands are mine.” She almost winced at her blunt tone, but she resisted. How would it look if she apologized to this strange wolf for her frank tone? “Who are you?” She feigned a cool tone, but more to impress the handsome wolf before her. She stood there and looked him in the eye. He was taller than her, more muscular, but probably the same age. His face was soft, although harsh from traveling. She figured him to be gentle despite his size. As she gazed into his face, she began to regret the curtness in her tone, which was reflected him her blue eyes. She blinked.

A cool crisp wind filled the nights sky as Marrok stood stunned by the she-wolf he acted very cautiously and spoke with a deep yet surprising voice "I am Marrok." He dared not move to suddenly but stepped forward a little trying to get a better look at Rasia. It seemed to Marrok that the She-wolfs piercing blue eyes were penetrating the depths of his heart. He looked directly at the she-wolf "I did not know these were your lands if you bid me to leave I shall leave." Marrok's withered was proof enough that he needed to rest he continued to stare at the she-wolf and was careful to never break contact. He felt a special connection with this seemingly new friend.

Rasia stared at the wolf before her. She turned her head slightly to one side to get a better look at him. 'Marrok...why does it feel like I know that name...?' She paused, unable to form a single thought, let alone a sentence. She found this wolf to be peculiar. He acted the part of a lone wolf, the lowest of ranks in the wolven world, but he was different. He almost acted as if he did not know how to address an alpha... Rasia, however did not mind, but if he were going to survive he needed to learn.

She resisted the urge to step backward, feeling slightly awkward under his gaze. She did not, however, falter when she spoke to him. "Why are you here?" She eyed him, looking him over. "Where have you come from?" Rasia's tone was softer this time, but still held authority. She narrowed her eyes slightly, waiting for the wolf to respond.

Marrok seemed intimidated by the she-wolf’s gaze. He dare not look away from her piercing eyes. He though about the questions for a moment and choose his words carefully “I did not mean to come here I heard the water and I needed a drink and as for where I came from that I do not know I have no home”. The wind whipped through the darkening sky. Marrok waited for the she-wolf’s response her intense eyes still upon him.

Rasia broke eye contact for a moment to gaze into the water of the falls. She sighed and looked Marrok in the eyes. "You may stay with me, if you wish. I have no pack, but will change." She turned her back on him, to gaze in the direction on her packlands. She smiled. A new home and now a packmate? She looked down. What was that peculiar clenching feeling in her stomach? She turned her head so that she could see the wolf behind her, but hide the fact that she was watching him. She pricked her ears up, pretending to focus on some unknow sound in the distance, she shrugged her shoulder. She turned back to Marrok, her stomach flipping as she looked at his face, his soft fur rustled gently in the wind. Love at first sight? Was it possible?...Perhaps. Likely? No... That was only a pup's tale!

Rasia smiled to herself as she looked down, then met his eyes. 'There! Again!' Her stomach clenched again. She forced herself to look this wolf in the eyes. "Yeah... So...dropping the formalities..." She faltered momentarily, then regained her voice. "I, um... need you. I cannot hunt large game, and with winter advancing, small game will become scarce. I need somewolf to help me, and I know you need a home..." She paused to look into his eyes, her light blue eyes shimmering. She looked away for amoment, then back to Marrok. "What do you say?"

The sun lingered over the tree line casting a shawdow across Marroks face. He stood in awe of this magnificent she-wolf as she hesitated in front of him before he could help himself he spoke with such excitement that he could barely contain his feelings to this she wolf that he had just meet "Yes i accept this gracious offer". Marrok could not help the faint smile that he now wore across his face.
